he London International Chinese Music Festival 2025 brings together leading artists and scholars to showcase the depth and diversity of Chinese musical traditions on a global stage. Presented in collaboration with SOAS University of London, and supported by Arts Council England, China Arts (UK), London Youlan Qin Society, and UK Chinese Music, the festival presents a dynamic series of concerts, academic talks, and collaborative performances across London this August.
Among the highlights, renowned bamboo flute artist Lu Lu (Zongpu Lu) will take center stage in a featured solo performance, premiere new cross-cultural works with international artists, and lead a lecture-demonstration exploring the expressive power of the Chinese bamboo flute in both traditional and contemporary contexts.
This is not only a celebration of heritage, but a bold reimagining of Chinese music’s voice in the 21st century.
