Silk & Sand

As part of a distinguished international collaboration, bamboo flute artist Lu Lu (Zongpu Lu) joins a select ensemble of Chinese traditional musicians to perform in Morocco, in partnership with a celebrated Andalusian orchestra.

This unique program explores the resonant connections between Chinese classical instruments — including bamboo flute, pipa, guzheng, and zhongruan — and the intricate modal textures of North African-Andalusian music. Featuring solo performances, ensemble collaborations, and original intercultural arrangements, the concert celebrates both heritage and innovation.

Set in the vibrant cultural landscape of Morocco, the project reimagines the ancient Silk Road in sound — where East and West meet through dialogue, improvisation, and shared musical storytelling.Silk & Sand
